Alice Springs is also nicknamed as 'Alice'.  It lies in Central Asia and to the North of Australia and became known during the year 1871.  Slowly with the influx of people, it became popular.  The Ghan train line which was thrown open during the beginning of the twentieth connected this wonderful place to the other parts of Australia.

There are a number of tourist attractions and places worth visiting in Alice Springs.  The Adelaide House is a prime place of importance and came into existence in the year 1920.  The Stuart Town Goal is an ancient building which has been handed over to the National Trust.  The town centre has the beautiful and exquisite Olive Pink botanical gardens which are near to the calm and picturesque Todd River which houses strong trunked trees.  Another heritage building is the Old Courthouse which was built in the year 1928 which was the administrative building during those times.  Later, it became the Courthouse for Alice Springs and finally it became the National Pioneer Women’s Hall of Fame.  Other tourist engagements include bushwalking where tourists can walk and enjoy nature’s beauty.  Children will love the flora and fauna, colourful flowers, wonderful panorama of nature.  If you have kids, then do not forget to take them to the Desert Park which is an absolute delight.  You can check out the local wildlife, beautiful scenery and different species of birds and animals.  Camel rides are quite popular here.
