The Sunshine Coast occupies the area from Caloundra, 100km north of Brisbane, to Cooloola, 120km further north along the coast. Beaches and National Parks

The beaches are arguably the main draw to the Sunshine coast, with some of the most picturesque sandy stretches in the country along this 120km stretch of land. With stunning coastal views and excellent surfing, Noosa Heads is a stop-off for many that travel the east coast, and the beach is home of the world-renowned Noosa Festival of Surfing. Events and Festivals near the Sunshine Coast

With the Sunshine Coast offering a near-perfect mix of countryside and coast, it is perhaps unsurprising that many of the top events in the region focus on outdoor sports, local produce and celebrating the area’s sophisticated but relaxed lifestyle. Sporting Events

With an attractive, varied landscape and excellent weather some of the biggest draws to the Sunshine Coast, outdoor sporting events are unsurprisingly prominent in the local calendar. One of the very biggest events in the region is the Australian PGA Championships, held at the Hyatt Regency Coolum during December.
